Domiciliary Service
We understand that not everyone in our community can come to us. That’s why we offer an eye test in the comfort of your home. If you or someone you care for is unable to come in store call us to book your eye test. We’ll also bring a wide range of frames with us, take the measurements we need and arrange delivery of the glasses, sunglasses or contact lenses once they’re finished.
Retinal Imaging
At S.I.Opticals, we care about the health of your eyes. For this reason we now offer a new way to check for potentially serious conditions that can affect not only your eyes but your overall wellbeing. Using our state of the art retinal camera, we can take a digital image of the back of your eye.
VDU Examination
S.I.Opticals operates a corporate eye-care scheme for VDU testing and offers employees a very wide choice of frames or contact lenses. If you work at a computer most of the time, your employer is liable to cover the cost of your eye exam and maybe even the glasses or contact lenses if you’re found to need them.Instore we accept all corporate eye care vouchers.
Contact Lens Assessment
We offer free contact lens trials to all our customers, Its simple all you need is an up to date sight test.
Cataract Assessment & Glaucoma Monitoring
With our recent partnership with NHS and Private hospitals in Leicestershire, using our state of the art equipment, we are proud to provide Pre and Post Cataract Assessments as well as Suspect Glaucoma preliminary assessments at our practise. Glaucoma is the second most common cause of blindness in the UK and can go undiagnosed for many years as it is initially asymptomatic. Regular eye examinations will show very early symptoms of this life changing disease. If recognised in its early stages, glaucoma can be easily stabilised.
If you are developing Cataracts and it is affecting your day to day life for example driving, reading or cooking , our Optometrists can improve this by changing your glasses or referring you directly to a hospital in Leicester for Cataract surgery. We will then look after you until the Cataract process has been completed.

At S.I.Opticals we provide a number of additional services. These include, Dry Eye Screening , Diabetic Eye Test, School Vision Testing , Sports Vision , Visual Field Testing and Work Form Signing.
